  18. <p>     Hurt by the collapse of an attempt to increase restrictions
  19. on abortions and an image of indecisiveness, Florida's
  20. Republican Governor Bob Martinez will have trouble winning a
  21. second term. He is trying to boost his chances by leaping on an
  22. unlikely issue. He has asked the state prosecutor to bring
  23. obscenity and racketeering charges against a popular rap-music
  24. band, the 2 Live Crew, for recording an album whose title, As
  25. Nasty As They Wanna Be, aptly describes its contents.
  26. </p>
  27. <p>     Last month a judge in Fort Myers found probable cause that
  28. the songs were obscene. The ruling gave Martinez grounds for
  29. ordering a criminal investigation of whether the album was being
  30. illegally sold to minors. Says 2 Live Crew's lead singer, Luke
  31. Skywalker, "I figure it all to be real political."
